- "The gentleman who greeted us at reception was frriendly and helpful. We
liked the secure, convenient on-site car park although entry was a
little tight! The hotel is tastefully decorated in an up-to-date style,
with great consideration for the age of the building and the original
features. Our en-suite room was delightful! It was perfectly clean and
traditionally furnished to a very high standard. We particularly liked
the feature window and the fireplace with a working electric fire. Our
room at the front of the hotel, was quiet, the bed very comfortable and
we had a good nights sleep. We enjoyed an excellent evening meal (which
was very good value) and a very good breakfast which was cooked to
order. The service in the bar was friendly and we were introduced to the
delights of Welsh Gin. The restaurant and bar are obviously popular with
local residents as well as guests." - Is there anything you didn't like?
- "The restaurant's unisex toilets were not as clean as they should have been."

- "I liked everything about the Spilman Hotel. The staff were welcoming and friendly - nothing was too much trouble. My room was very clean, comfortable and quiet. Dinner was good and very reasonably priced and breakfast the next day was excellent and certainly set me up for a long day. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable and as a woman travelling alone I felt completely comfortable. I have already recommended this hotel to friends and will do so whenever the opportunity arises."

- "Great location in the city center for evening entertainment etc. Camarthen in general is a great base for exploring the Brecons and the Pembrokeshire coast.
Staff at the Spilman were polite, friendly and professional. The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable." - Is there anything you didn't like?
- "Double bed in our room (6) was only just a double bed!"

- "Helpful and friendly staff, very comfortable newly renovated room, with large clean ensuite bathroom. Good breakfast."

- "Not the hotel's fault, but we had the misfortune to stay overnight on a wet Sunday evening, and found it very difficult to find anywhere to eat. The town seemed totally shut down."
